The Dok and Gal Story
Dok and Gal first met each other on a rainy day in the year 2000 on
stage in a small blues club that no longer exist in Phoenix
Arizona.
It was magic at first note and the crowd went nuts shouting for
more and more with growing enthusiasm after each song.
Finally Dok and Gal were able to get off stage, shake hands and
compliment each other and a new friendship was born.
Together with a few other musicians they have formed a blues band
and it wasn't long before they were playing all over town.
Soon after it was apparent that the band activities could not financially
support the members (Gal who did not grow up with Blues music
thought that the Blues is sad because blues musicians get paid very
little...) and after many long sessions of band group therapy Dok and
Gal ventured on their own to create the very diversified Dok and Gal
Show.
Dok is a born entertainer and loves to be on stage. He can sing
anything from blues to rock, pop, country, rap, R&B, disco, reggae
and jazz. Dok is a great dancer and loves to make the audience
happy.
Gal on the other hand, has two left legs and can't sing
to save his life... but when he put his fingers on the guitar neck -
watch out and get ready to drop your jaws!
Dok compliment the music with his ripping harmonica playing and
though they are only two, they sound like a whole band with
pre-recorded bass, drums, keyboard and horn stacks (depending on the
song and genre).
The results are nothing short of amazing! D&G can rock out loud
as they do in big city events, festivals and big venues while they can
also set up in a corner in your living room and play anything
from Jimmy Buffett to AC/DC at a low volume without disturbing
the neighbors. To Be Continued...
